You're invited to celebrate the launch of Ashoka's Youth Venture in the San Francisco Bay Area!
Youth Venture inspires and invests in teams of young people as they start their own sustainable social ventures, connecting them into a powerful global network.
At our VIP Open House Reception on Feb. 27th from 3-6 PM, you can meet some of the young changemakers in our first Bay Area program.
We are currently working with seven Oakland-based youth teams. Their projects address a broad diversity of topics, including spreading anti-violence messages through hip hop, creating viral videos to bring awareness to social justice issues in East Oakland, improving relations between Oakland youth and the Oakland Police Department, and increasing access to fresh produce in West Oakland. Please join us for refreshments, presentations by our youth teams about their projects, and raffle prizes. When you enter our raffle, you'll be eligible to win gift packages from PACT Apparel, Amanda's Feel Good Fresh Food, Melissa Schneider Designs, Kim Foster's Body Work, and more.
Our program is deeply collaborative, and we welcome your involvement in supporting the young changemakers in our local community.
All financial contributions to our program are welcomed and appreciated:
$50 provides the program materials for one Youth Venture team
$100 provides the space for one Youth Venture workshop
$1,000 provides a seed funding grant for one Youth Venture team
$5,000 supports one Youth Venture team for an entire year
